Play & solve Voltorb Flip! Show me how you play and make my heart pound with excitement!
Volt Flip is a free solver and playable version of Voltorb Flip, the Game Corner minigame from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver on the Nintendo DS.
Enter the points and Voltorb count for each row and column, then tap any tile you've already flipped. The solver works out the exact Voltorb probability for every remaining tile by counting every board the clues allow, and highlights the safest move. Tiles with no risk at all are marked SAFE.
Play mode is a full browser version of the minigame across eight levels. Flip every ×2 and ×3 to clear a level, and avoid the Voltorb. Switch on solver hints to see live odds on every tile while you play.
Built in 2026 around the slow part, which was never the arithmetic — it was the human end. Type all twenty clue numbers in a single run: focus moves to the next empty box as you go, so you never touch the mouse after the first one. Every tile the clues prove is then filled in for you and counted as turned over, not merely hinted at — on a board that resolves cleanly, that can be the whole grid with no taps at all. So the recommendation only ever points at a tile that is still genuinely unknown.
Underneath, it counts every board your clues allow for exact odds, looks several moves ahead to break ties between equally safe tiles, and uses the real level-drop rule to know what hitting a Voltorb would cost your level.
